This cross is a modified Trinity cross with a "Gloria" or starburst behind it. The cross is in three layers to represent the Trinity.
The Gloria is made of nails and is finished in a gold powder coat with a bright gold over-spray and a reflective coating. The reflective coating is intended to reflect light at night if a spotlight is shined on it.

The first layer is the main body of the cross. It is welded steel which is finished in an antique silver vein powder coat. The second and third layers are at the intersect of the main cross and are made of nails.

The second layer is finished in an aluminum powder coat to contrast with the color of the main body and consists of welded three-nail groupings in the shape of a cross.

The third or top layer is finished in a gold powder coat and appears as a stylized image of the body of Christ when viewed from the side.
